The Johnson Institute’s applied research program encourages and rewards rigorous research on issues of ethics and accountability in public service. The goal of the Institute's applied research program is to generate new and usable knowledge on issues of ethics and accountability in public service.
Johnson Institute Best Paper Award
Scholars, students, and professionals from around the world are encouraged to compete for the annual Johnson Institute Best Paper Award. Applicants must submit papers dealing with ethics, responsible leadership, and accountability in public life.
Faculty Research
The Johnson Institute is committed to work with GSPIA faculty to provide a catalyst for their research and to create an intellectually vibrant center where faculty work together to generate new information on the subjects of ethics and accountability.
Student Research
Every year we provide partial funding for GSPIA students to undertake dissertation research or internships dealing with the topic of accountability, ethics, transparency, or leadership.
Other Research
The staff of the Johnson Institute engage in their own research and commission papers and other research products on topics of special interest.
